Why Omar Abdullah is Shying away from awarding compensation to ITBP inspector Bhim Singh??

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi flew to Amethi on Saturday and attended the cremation ceremony of IAF personal Akhilesh Pratap Singh who was one among the 20 rescue workers killed in the rescue chopper crash  in Kedarnath on Tuesday. After the cremation Rahul spent some time with the family of the deceased and offered condolences.

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also announced  20 lakh compensation to the next of kith of deceased.

ITBP officer from Kathua UttarakhandSeveral other Chief Ministers have announced adequate compensation for the next kith and kin of victims of Kedarnath rescue Chopper crash.

But  in Kathua the family of ITBP Inspector Bhim Singh, hailing from Bobiyan border village is still awaiting any announcement from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Apparently, Omar failed to take a cue from his close friend  Rahul Gandhi and could not spare  enough time to even  write a condolence message on his twitter page.

On Saturday when the braveheart was given tearful farewell none of the state minister was present. Local MLAs, police officers and large number of local villagers bid farewell to the ITBP inspector.

The local Sarpanch Tirath Singh after performing the cremation at Bobiyan border village  claimed that the local villagers are very angry as neither the state Chief Minister Omar Abdullah nor any other minister has issued any statement or offered condolences to the family of the deceased.

It may be mentioned that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the families of the personnel killed in the crash.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna also  announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the victims.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said a compensation of Rs 20 lakh will be given to the families of two IAF personnel who hailed from the state.
