Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah saturday took a dig at BJP leaders claiming how an unpopular brother of Prime Minister is going to strengthen the BJP.
Commenting on the sudden entry of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singhs step brother in to BJP at an election rally in Amritsar late Friday evening in the presence of Narendra Modi on the micro blogging site Omar saturday wrote, “The PM weakens the UPA yet somehow we are to believe that his unknown brother will strengthen the BJP. Mind boggling logic at work here”.
Mocking at the BJP’s stand Omar further wrote,” So the BJP goes to town calling the PM irrelevant yet makes a song & dance of his brother joining them. How can they have it both ways”.
Earlier in the day PM Manmohan Singh said he was saddened by the decision of his half-brother Daljeet Singh Kohli to join BJP.
“I feel very sad. I have no control. They are all adults,” he said while replying to queries on the sidelines of the Padma awards function in New Delhi.
Kohli on Friday joined BJP at a public rally in Amritsar in the presence of the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, Omar also paid rich tributes to the martyred soldiers of the Indian army who were engaged in the task of eliminating heavily armed militants in Shopian district.”My sincerest condolences to the families of Maj Vardarajan & Sepoy Vikram martyred in the Shopian encounter & prayers for their souls RIP”.
