Indian Army didnt compromise its Defences to buy Peace with Chinese Army in Ladakh: Lt. Gen Parnaik

Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General KT Parnaik Monday claimed that  the Indian army had not compromised its defences or dismantled any structures  at the time of resolving the face off  with the  Chinese Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) in the Daulat Beg Oldi sector in Ladakh.   Addressing a media conference in the Northern Command headquarters on Monday, Lt Gen Parnaik said,”The disengagement and de-escalation at Depsang/DBO was done without any compromise. Millitants planning to strike Amarnath yatra: Lt. Gen Parnaik

GOC-in-C Northern Command Lt Gen KT Parnaik  has warned security forces that some of the militant groups were planning to strike the Amarnath yatra starting from June 29. The army officer said  even though we are receiving intelligence inputs but at the same time it is very difficult to predict the timing and the exact planning of the strike by militant groups. “We do not know who will strike, from where he will come and at what time, we can only  exercise extra caution and remain in a  state of high alert”.
