103 years old Massu Ram was the first one, on Thursday to cast vote in Hiranagar and set the trend for higher voter turnout today. Till 3 pm there was 61% polling in Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency. Reasi district crossed 70% mark, heavy turnout in Urban centres of Udhampur, Kathua. Massu Ram was among the first voters at the polling station number 67 in Hiranagar town of Kathua district that falls under the Udhampur Parliamentary constituency in Jammu and Kashmir today. Massu Ram also told reporters, “This could be my last vote. I cannot afford to let it go waste.”

After having been rescheduled many times, the much-talked-about 3D rally of BJP’s prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi will finally be held on Friday evening. The integrated poll rally using 3D holographic projection technology, by which he will address more than 100 locations simultaneously including Udhampur in J&K, will be held between 6 pm and 8 pm, first of its kind in the history of electoral campaign. Modi had used this technology for the first time in the campaigning for 2012 Gujarat Assembly elections. Earlier, the 3D rally was scheduled for April 7 but had to be called off citing a technical glitch.
