Jammu Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah, sunday, claimed that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was in touch with BJP leaders. “Hidden meetings of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed with the close associates of Lal Krishna Advani and his close contact with Narendra Modi has come to fore exposing the ideology of PDP”, Omar said while addressing a public gathering at Kellar  in Shopian after inaugurating Rs. 5.50 crore Sub-District Hospital. Congress out on the streets to organise party functions in Jammu

Army vehicle targeted in Anantnag grenade blast, 7 people including policeman injured

Even as Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has not stopped raising the demand for revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act from peaceful districts of the state the militant commanders have started regularly targeting army vehicles and security installations in Kashmir valley. With in a gap of 48 hours a second incident of grenade blast was reported in Anantnag on Tuesday raising many an eyebrows in the security establishment. Intelligence agencies are already expecting spurt in the incidents of militant violence after the swearing in ceremony of PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad. In his long political career he has earned many friends and despite having divergent view point on  contentious issues he has nurtured all his friends even during difficult days.
