Fresh instructions issued to all universities in this regard: MHRD Member Parliament and PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti today sought the intervention of the Union Minister for Human Resource Development (MHRD) in the effective implementation of UGC scheme regarding admission of J&K students in the recognized colleges and universities of the country under supernumerary quota. Justice Tirath Singh Thakur was on Thursday sworn in as 43rd Chief Justice of India by President Pranab Mukherjee at an elegant function in Rashtrapati Bhavan. The senior-most judge of the apex court, 63-year old Justice Thakur took over from incumbent Justice H L Dattu who retired on Wednesday. At least 30 terrorists have been brought into the PoK region by ISI to carry out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir with the help of terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), intelligence inputs have suggested. According to the inputs, these terrorists were brought from Peshawar under the guidance of ISI and kept in a launching pad across the Line of Control in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir region. The Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed discussed the Reconstruction Plan for J&K amounting to Rs 80068 Crore announced by the Prime Minister on 7th November, 2015.
