Impressive debut for Jammu’s Shubham Khajuria against Sri Lanka A


Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Shubham Khajuria on Thursday played his debut Youth ODI match against Sri Lanka-A. In the ongoing Youth series between India U-19 and Srilanka U-19 teams, the two ‘Youth Tests’ were drawn and the first ODI was abandoned due to rain. Shubham scored 52 runs in the first Youth test while in the second test he managed to score 36 and 15 runs in 2 innings. India registered its first victory on the tour of SriLanka winning the 2nd Youth ODI by 22 runs. Jammu’s Shubham Khajuria selected for India U-19 squad

Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Shubham Khajuria was on Wednesday selected in the India U-19 squad for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. Seventeen-year-old Right-hand Batsman Khajuria, who hails from Jammu, has already played three Ranji Trophy match for Jammu & Kashmir apart from six List ‘A’ and five T20 matches and is a part of the squad led by Maharashtra’s Vijay Zol. The selection committee on Saturday dropped Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh from the list of 30-member probables for the ICC Champions Trophy. Left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan has also been left out.
