Condemning the National Conference (NC) leadership for invoking religion to garner votes, Prof Hari Om, Political Advisor to BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma, on Monday demanded de-recognition of this pro-autonomy party saying not to do so would be only allow to it to further communalize the whole ongoing electoral exercise in the state. “Derecognize the NC without losing a moment. Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad Tuesday filed his nomination papers from Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat and also declared his family’s movable and immovable assets worth 4.14 crores. In the long list of assets Azad declared that on July 5, 1994 he had acquired  2.5 acres of agricultural piece of  land in Washim district of Vidharbha in Maharashtra by sale deed under survey no 461. Significantly Azad who had contested 2006 by polls in Jammu and Kashmir and later Assembly polls in 2008, Rajya Sabha polls in 2009  had concealed this crucial piece of information. Former Minister on the run, Police clueless about his whereabouts

Even though the local court on saturday issued an arrest warrant against former minister of State for Health Shabir Ahmad Khan in connection with a sexual assault case the state police force remained clueless about his exact  whereabouts and failed to arrest him till late evening.
