GOVT SCHOOL TEACHER ISSUED SHOW CAUSE NOTICE FOR INSTIGATING STUDENTS,CREATING LAW AND ORDER LIKE SITUATION?
NO ACTION TAKEN AGAINST THOSE WHO PREVENTED CHILDREN FROM SINGING NATIONAL ANTHEM
A govt school teacher in Doda has been issued a show cause notice by the District Development Commissioner to submit his response within next five days in the sensational case of singing National Anthem in the school premises.
On August 18 large number of govt school children in Bhagwah,15 kms from Doda, had taken a protest march to the office of District Development commissioner to lodge a strong protest against the teachers who prevented them from singing National Anthem in the school premises.
After the protest was over the school teachers against whom the children had raised their voice virtually ganged up together and shot off a complaint against the Physical Education teacher of Govt Higher secondary School Bhagwah.
Deputy Commissioner Doda had also ordered a inquiry to be held by Assistant commissioner Revenue. He was directed to submit his report within seven days.
According to official sources on the receipt of ACR report DC, Doda on Friday issued a show cause notice to Bhanu Pratap Singh asking him to explain his position on the issue within five days failing which action would be taken against him as per provisions of law.
In the show cause notice it has been stated that the inquiry report had found him responsible for instigating and mobilizing the students to take out a protest and the same could have created a law and order problem.
Many question marks have been raised on the conduct of the senior officers who have issued show cause notice to a teacher who was supporting children and creating atmosphere where they could have found themselves comfortable while singing the National Anthem. It remains to be seen what action has been taken by the same authorities against whom children have complained that they prevented them from singing the National Anthem.
