Second BAT team attack on forward Indian Post foiled by alert BSF Jawans

Barely hours after Pakistan’s National Assembly passed an anti India resolution a Border Action team of Pak army once again attempted to attack one of the forward Indian posts in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch late Tuesday night.

According to official sources, alert BSF jawans late Tuesday night foiled an attempt by a Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) to attack a forward post along the Line of Control in Poonch.

The movement of the BAT team was picked up by the surveillance  equipment before the attack took place.

As they came closer we challenged them and fired upon them, BSF sources claimed.

At least two nearby Pak posts provided cover fire to the BAT team and targeted the Indian posts in the area.

Alert jawans of BSF’s 135 battalion, manning the post, fired on them.

The BAT escaped towards Pakistan side, official sources said adding that no one was injured on the Indian side.

This is the second major attack by BAT after August 6 attack on the Indian soliders where a Pakistani BAT intruded into Indian territory along the LoC in Poonch sector and killed five Indian soldiers in an ambush.
