Rattled by the Modi’s Lalkar rally Cong readies its election team ahead of the assembly polls

In the wake of impressive BJP rally in the heart of city of temples the congress leadership has decided to pull up their socks ahead of the Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir. The party leadership is contemplating constituting core poll committee to devise a proper strategy to counter BJP’s propaganda machinery.

On Tuesday the Congress legislature party leader Mohd Sharif Niaz along with PCC Chief Prof Saif Ud Din Soz chaired a meeting of the party ministers in the state guest house for about 4 hours and held close door deliberations on important issues.

congressAccording to party insiders during the marathon meeting the congress ministers were tutored by the CLP leader and PCC chief over provisions of the 73 rd amendment of the Indian constitution and how to strengthen the Panchayati Raj Institutions in the state.

Special emphasis was also laid on the implementation of the Food security bill and land acquisition bill.

A threadbare discussion on deciding the poll agenda of the congress party was also held during the meeting. The congress ministers were directed to highlight  the achievements of the party during their public interactions and meetings.

Later in the day interacting with the media persons Sharif Niaz told reporters that congress is working for the welfare of the people of the state and has consolidated its position in all three regions of the state.

Targeting BJP Niaz said ahead of the elections BJP rakes up the issue of Article 370, Uniform Civil code and and construction of Ram temple.He said it is the duty of the party minsters to propagate the message of peace and harmony among the local masses.

He ridiculed BJP leadership for giving mandate to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
