Prof Amitabh Mattoo creates ripples in the corridors of power by knocking at the door step of Governor NN Vohra

Prof Amitabh Mattoo Tuesday created ripples in the corridors of power by visiting Raj Bhawan and holding close door meeting with the Governor NN Vohra for about one hour.

Former Vice Chancellor of Jammu  University Prof Amitabh Mattoo, currently holding the charge of Director, Australia India Institute, University of Melbourne is well connected in the corridors of power in New Delhi and influences opinion makers with his columns on variety of issues.

He was closely tracking political developments in Jammu and Kashmir  and had even predicted PDP govt in the state before the Assembly polls

There was no official word about the meeting nor any statement was issued by the spokesman of the Raj Bhawan.

According to official sources Prof Mattoo reached Raj Bhawan well past 5.00 p.m and remain closeted with the Governor for about one hour.

Prof Mattoo considered an authentic voice on Kashmir affairs  may have discussed the current political situation in the state during his lengthy interaction with the Governor.

Speculations are rife in the corridors of power that both BJP and PDP are once again inching closer ahead of starting formal dialogue in the run up to the Rajya Sabha polls scheduled for Feb 7, 2015.
