Ever since the state of Jammu and Kashmir has been hit by devastating floods in the last 109 years the senior bureaucrats and the top police officers have been seen in pensive mood in the company of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
While grappling with the scale of devastation the officers who generally remain calm and in total control of the situation faced difficult times as they too were at the receiving end of the worst tragedy. Now as the situation is returning to normalcy and the state govt machinery is being readied to launch the massive rehabilitation work the police officers and others are gradually getting back in to the mood.
On Tuesday when Minister of State for Home Affairs and Industries and Commerce, Sajjad A. Kichloo presented a cheque of Rs 51 Lakh to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah the senior police officers were caught laughing on the camera. While Chief Minister himself wore a patient look while all others including Kitchloo and senior officers were seen smiling in the picture.
The Cheque was presented on behalf of the J&K Police Housing Corporation as contribution towards the Chief Ministers Flood Relief Fund.
