JKNC website has complete biographies of Farooq and Omar,Goes Silent on profile of party MLAs,MLCs

Of all the regional political parties in the state of Jammu and Kashmir the official website of National Conference is considered a farooqcomprehensive website. It contains rich archives, history of the party and most of the vision documents as well.

The photo features of Sheikh Mohd Abdullah and day and day working of the party activities are thoroughly covered on the website.

Interestingly, in the same website a great distinction has been made by the administrators of the website for reasons well known to them. The website contains complete biography of both the party President Dr Farooq Abdullah and working President Omar Abdullah.

But beyond that if any visitor attempts to log on to the party website to dig out information about any public representative of either Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and state assembly he ends up reading his name only. Even the website contains no information about the profile of both the provincial presidents  of omarJammu and Kashmir region. There is no other information posted on the website about elected and nominated party representatives in the state assembly.

Ironically, in the who’s who section of the party website photographs of party representatives are posted on the website along with their names and a separate link is also provided on the website which says complete biography. Soon after visitor activates the link he/she is greeted with one message which highlights only the name of the legislator.

Insiders in the party say, “no one is aware why such a distinction has been made between elected representatives of the party and the top brass of the party”.We cannot say that the party MLA’s have not provided their profiles to the party office for uploading the text on the website, a senior party leaders said.

Interestingly, the  profiles of senior party leaders who are serving as cabinet ministers are available on the official website of the state government or various departments but the  profiles of same leaders are missing from the website of their own party’s website.
