J&K Govt releases full page ad but fails to acknowledge the role of IAF in Flood Relief Ops

OMAR BOARDED IAF CHOPPERS FOR DROPPING RATION SUPPLIES BUT IGNORES IAF

The state Information department has released a full page advertisement  titled ‘Rebuilding J&K’ in almost all the daily news papers in public interest highlighting the details of the 44000 crore Rehabilitation plan recommended to the Govt of India for rebuilding J&K.

Starting from details of total damages ,loss of human lives, the advertisement carries details of all sectors which suffered huge losses during the devastating floods in Jammu and Kashmir.

The beautifully designed advertisement carries images of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah supervising the relief measures and interacting with the victims of floods.

There is not a single image of any alliance leader including Ghulam Nabi Azad who is making tall claims of coming to the rescue of flood affected when the state machinery broke down and resulted in delayed response.

Most glaring exemption  in the full page advertisement is the role of the Indian Air Force which not only rescued flood affected people from the roof tops of their houses but also rushed emergency supplies and all infrastructure support to the different parts of the flood affected regions of the state by building air bridge between New Delhi and the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

IAF pilots faced lot of difficulties during rescue operations as they came under attack from certain elements who pelted stones and abused pilots during winching operations.

The advertisement acknowledges the role of youth, civil population,Army and police but failed to mention role of IAF .

It may be mentioned Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself made endless trips on board IAF choppers but the state Information department failed to acknowledge the role of IAF.
