Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz Monday denied reports of media speculation that Congress had lured Mohd Aslam Goni, political advisor of Dr Farooq Abdullah, in to the party fold.
Interacting with media persons on the sidelines of a joining function Soz said Aslam Goni is an educated person and during preliminary discussions he just told me he was feeling suffocated in the National Conference.
Soz expressed hope that now he can breathe easy and feel secured while clarifying again that the congress party did not employ any dirty tricks to lure him in to the party fold.
On the question of widening gap between the alliance partners Soz said if political leaders are joining different parties as per their liking i don’t see there is any thing wrong in this.He avoided comparisons between recent switch overs from congress to NC and vice versa.
Responding to a question on frequent ceasefire violations along the IB and LoC Soz said that the ceasefire violations and incursions were not to the advantage of Pakistan.
“Yesterday I condemned these violations and these incursions and said this was not to the advantage of Pakistan.
Soz said, terrorists are very much organised in Pakistan and they are a challenge to his authority and the Pak army recently gave a cover to infiltrators. That’s a proved thing and thus the broader question for Nawaz Sharif is- will he allow many centres of power in Pakistan that is detrimental to internal security of his country. India will never accept any bullying tactics, incursions,” he said.
