Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah was today re-elected president of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
Dr Abdullah, who had announced that he will not seek re-election, was elected president at a meeting here today.
Talking to reporters after the election, Dr Abdullah admitted that some members walked out from the meeting.
However, he said, majority members were present who re-elected him president of the JKCA.
They (members) did not allow me to go and wanted me to shoulder the responsibility, he said, adding now I have a team of office bearers who would help me to take the game to new heights.
About the scam in the JKCA, he said probe is going on and those involved in it will have to face the law of the land. (Agencies)
