Abdullah dynasty is anti-Jammu: BJYM
Omar Abdullah, whose party, alongwith Congress, suffered a humiliating and comprehensive defeat and got only a paltry 10 per cent votes in the just held Lok Sabha elections, has unleashed a vilification campaign against BJP in his desperate bid to divert people’s attention away from his failures. This was stated here today in a press conference addressed jointly by BJP Legislative Party leader Ashok Khajuria and party MLAs—Sukhnandan Kumar and Sham Choudhary.
“The BJP has all along focused on issues relating to governance, development and national integration and consistently fought for equal treatment to all the regions of the state”. This was the prime reason that the people of Jammu province and Ladakh region voted overwhelmingly for the BJP candidates. The historic victory of the BJP is these two regions is a vindication of the fact that the people appreciate and recognize the role of the BJP in the state politics”, they said.
“It is disturbing that the NC, which has all through condemned New Delhi, Indian constitution, Indian Laws and institution like army and looted and plundered the exchequer and fleeced the people has held the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre responsible for acute power and water shortage. It is the irresponsible anti-people Omar Abdullah led coalition government that is squarely responsible for the problems being faced by the people across the state, especially the people of Jammu province whose contribution to the state exchequer has always been more than 75 per cent, Ashok Khajuria said and added that by abusing the BJP legislators, Omar Abdullah has only caused an affront to the self respect of the Dogras of Jammu for which he and his party will have to pay a very heavy price in the upcoming assembly elections like it happened in 2002 when he abused and ridiculed Maharaja Hari Singh in as election rally at Samba”.
The BJP legislators rubbished the spurious claim of Omar Abdullah that they have not come up to the expectations of the people of Jammu and reminded him that it was the BJP that took up in right earnest the issues facing refugees from Kashmir, West Pakistan, PoJK and displaced persons of 1965 and 1971 and brought the August 9,2013 Kishtwar carnage at the centre stage that led to the resignation of MoS (Home). They also said that it was the BJP that played a historic role in the Amarnath land row that culminated in the fall of the militant-friendly Congress government.
The track record of the BJP is before the people and it is hardly necessary to point out that the people of the state in general and Jammu and Ladakh in particular have all through pinned their faith in the ideology, policies and programmes of the BJP. They also said and added that in the assembly elections the BJP under the able leadership of Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh break all the previous records and form government in the state on its own.
“The people of the state have come to realize that the development and socio-cultural and politico-economic regeneration is only possible if the BJP comes to power in the state with the people’s blessings and popular mandate, the BJP will rid the state of all evils for which the parties like the NC and leaders like Omar Abdullah are responsible”, they asserted and added that the people across the state his lost their confidence in leaders like Omar Abdullah, who are known only for corruption, scams, mal-administration, communal politics and for promoting fissiparous tendencies.
The BJP legislators expressed the hope that the people, like before, will reject with contempt’s all the spurious and motivated changes leveled by Omar Abdullah against the BJP and reiterated that they would continue to meet the concerned authorities as peoples representatives for getting the genuine work of the public done. They also advised Omar Abdullah and his ilk to refrain from leveling unfounded charges against the BJP whose commitment to the people and the nation is too well known.
While on other hand, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM) also protested against the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over his anti BJP remarks and burnt his effigy at Kachi Chawani Chowk on Tuesday. Led by the BJYM State president Ravinder Raina, Sr.BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi and BJP Mahilla Morcha State President Priya Sethi, large number of youth workers of BJYM and BJP Mahilla Morcha took a strong protest procession from party headquarter raising anti Omar slogans and burnt the effigy of Chief Minister.
Addressing the activists BJYM State President Ravinder Raina termed the Abdullah dynasty as anti dogra and said the worst ever rout of NC-Congress in the Lok Sabha elections and the most humiliating defeat of Abdullahs from Srinagar seat in Kashmir has frustrated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and seeing the worst ever defeat in upcoming assembly elections, he started abusing the BJP MLA’s who always stood against the anti poor policies of the Omar Abdullah.
Accusing the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as anti dogra, anti poor and pro Corruption, he said people of the State are suffering badly from the unavailability of drinking water and power crisis and instead of taking stock of the situation, Omar abused the BJP MLA who were demanding the regular supply of electricity and pure drinking water. Raina said Omar has no right to insult the dogra tradition and Culture and said that people of Jammu region would never tolerate the anti dogra Abdullah dynasty in upcoming assembly elections. He said Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress coalition has failed on all fronts, having no achievement to its credit, the CM lacks trust in the people.
BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi while addressing the activists said the Omar Abdullah led coalition government has failed on all fronts and the Chief Minister failed to hold elections to the urban local bodies for the last over five years and the village panchayats, primary unit of the three-tier panchayati raj system, elections to which were held four years ago have yet to start functioning and to divert the concentration from his failure, Omar leveling baseless allegations but could not be successful, he added.
Lambasting the ruling alliance Priya Sethi said Omar Abdullah government has a vested interest to perpetuate the present highly centralized system of governance which breeds corruption, injustice and arbitrariness and nothing to do with the common man and seeing the certain defeat ahead, he started abusing the BJP, which he seems the serious threat to him.
