Provincial President National Conference Mr Devender Singh Rana on Monday extensively visited Talab Khatikan in the interiors of the Jammu city and interacted with prominent citizens of the area.
Accompanied by Mr Ajaz Jan, MLA Poonch, Mr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary, Abdul Karim Wani, Mohammad Ayub Malik, Peer Hussain Nisar Shah, Rahim Dad, Rajesh Bakshi, Dharamveer Singh Jamwal, Surinder Singh Bunty,Pardeep Bali, Dilshad Begum, Rita Gupta,Pankaj Kohli, Rakesh Chib, Mudasir Zargar, Sanjay Gupta, Narinder Singh Talwar, the Provincial President was apprised about the progress on widening of the approach road to Jamia Masjid.
He assured the Intzamia of the Masjid that the issue with regard to early completion of the road widening in the mosque periphery will be taken up with all concerned for its timely completion. He emphasized the importance of the area and said this is required to be developed in a befitting manner keeping in view its aesthetic grandeur and historic significance.
Mr Rana said that development of Talab Khatikan as per the Jammu City Master Plan will add a new feature to the grandeur of the city which remains hub of business activity round the year, particularly during the winter months.
Interacting separately with prominent citizens and party workers, the Provincial President reiterated his party’s commitment to socioeconomic uplift of all the segments of society and equitable development of the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir and urged the people to cooperate in achieving this cherished agenda.
The Provincial President spoke about the various initiatives taken for the faster development of the Jammu city and said that its strategic importance as gateway to the scenic Kashmir Valley and base camp for the pilgrims call for the holistic development, maintenance of health and hygiene besides availability of facilities in terms of infrastructure in the capital city.
He assured the people of the area that he will take up all these issues with the government and all concerned for expeditious implementation.
Mr Rana spoke at length about the achievements registered by the coalition government under the leadership of Mr Omar Abdullah and said this journey will continue for all round development of the State. He said National Conference has been striving for inclusive development of all the areas in order to enhance the quality of living of the people.
