Cross border firing along IB triggers decline in Border Tourism

Ever since cross border firing has engulfed border villages along the International border in Jammu the average foot fall of tourists who visited Octroi post and surrounding areas have fallen drastically. According to official sources, “the tourist traffic to Octroi post is almost zero or negligent” these days owing to prevailing security situation. A senior officer of the tourism department said, the tour operators who ferry tourists to different places have for the time being excluded border areas keeping in view the safety of the tourists. “We are not booking tourists for border areas visit for last two weeks”, a tour operator said. Pak rangers pounded over one dozen BOPs along IB in Jammu frontier

Heavy exchange of firing  between BSF and Pak rangers was reported from across one dozen border outposts along the International border in Jammu frontier late sunday evening forcing the border residents in the direct line of fire to shift to safer places. According to official sources, Pak rangers violated the ceasefire agreement at least five times in different sectors along the IB triggering fresh wave of panic in the border areas. 200 villagers shifted to safer places in Samba fearing fresh escalation

Fearing fresh escalation of tension between the two neighboring countries at least 200 members of Suchetgarh village in Samba district saturday evening decided to shift to safer places. The shifting of border villages was necessitated following reports of fresh flare up of tension in the area. The families were advised by the BSF jawans to shift to safer locations in time before it is too late.  The majority of families, however, decided to leave behind one male member of their family to look after the live stock and their valuables and houses.  According to official sources the villagers were camping in the community hall in Samba while about 100 people were staying with their relatives in and around Samba.

Pak provokes India by targetting 25 border posts across IB

Despite facing uncertain future Pakistan is bent upon provoking Indian reaction by escalating the border tension even along the International border in Jammu and kashmir. On Friday night Pak rangers, for the first time in last 10 years, targeted at least 25 border posts in Kathua, Samba, Hiranagar, RS Pura, Pargwal sectors in the biggest ever ceasefire violation.  The firing which started around 7.00 p.m continued till 4.00 a.m in the wee hours and Pak rangers used automatic weapons and mortars to target the Indian posts. The white lies propagated by the MoS Health Shabir Ahmad Khan have been completely exposed as the family members of the deceased girl,Pooja, who died due to Dengue on September 29, have produced hospital records of her admission and treatment she received in the govt hospital before she was shifted to a private hospital in Pathankot.
