IRP jawans allegedly rape woman in Rajouri, held

A woman was allegedly raped by two jawans of the Indian Reserve Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district last week-end, police said on Monday. Both of them had been placed under suspension and arrested, they said. The two barged into the house of the woman in Gambhir Muglaan on Saturday night and allegedly raped her, police said. Police raided several places and arrested the two jawans last night. Residents of Kashmir, both are jawans of the IRP 6th Battalion and were deployed in Rajouri. (PTI)

Army UAV crashes in Nowshera, COI ordered

An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of the Indian army, which was on a training sortie, crashed near  the line of control in Nowshera area of Rajouri district on Monday. According to official sources, the UAV crashed near Rajal village of Nowshera around 1.45 p.m. The Indian army has ordered a Court of Inquiry to inquire in to the circumstances leading to the crash of the UAV in thickly populated area. According to Ministry of Defence Spokesman in Jammu,” the UAV was on a training sortie when it suddenly developed some technical snag and crashed in Rajal village of Nowshera.
