Kashmiri Hindu Shrine Bill in Cold Storage again

Much to the chagrin of Kashmiri Hindu migrant community Omar Abdullah led coalition government on Friday put the Kashmiri Hindu Shrine bill in the cold storage by referring it to the select committee of the lower house. 1703 new Anganwari Centres setup in Kashmir during last 4 years

Minister of State for Social Welfare, Mr. Vikar Rasool has said that 1703 new Anganwari Centres have been established in Kashmir Division during last 4 years, out of which 115 Anganwari Centres have been established in Amira Kadal constituency only. This was informed by the Minister to a question by Mr Nasir Aslam Wani today in the House.

Curfew continues in different parts of Kashmir valley

Curfew remains in force in eight police station areas of Srinagar city and Sopore (Baramulla district), Trehgam (Kupwara district) and Kulgam towns Curfew was clamped in these areas on Tuesday night following widespread protests over the killing of a youth reportedly in Army firing at Baramulla during protests against alleged highhandedness of soldiers.
