Don’t join dentistry- we can provide only professional training but not jobs
In an apparent course correction after the National Conference’s debacle in the recent Lok Sabha polls, Jammu and Kashmir government today approved scrapping of the much-criticised new recruitment policy which was implemented two years ago.
He said it was one of the points highlighted by youths across the State through emails to him which he has been receiving as part of his introspection process started following the debacle in Lok Sabha polls in which the ruling National Conference-Congress coalition failed to win any of the six seats in the State.
But on the other side when some unemployed youths met Health minister Taj Mohi-u-din, they received cold response from his side. Shockingly,he suggested them to move out of their home state Jammu Kashmir as the Govt. only provides professional training jobs, better move out of J&K.
Dental Surgeon Association- JK (DSA-JK) in a statement, said:
HEALTH MINISTER DISAPPOINTS UNEMPLOYED GRADUATE DENTAL SURGEONS’ DEMANDS- DSA JK THREATENS AGITATION
• Health Minister says “Don’t join dentistry- we can provide only professional training but not jobs”
• Encourages “BRAIN DRAIN” by saying move out of JK for employment opportunities
In yet another meeting of DSA-JK with Health Minister – graduate dental surgeons highlighted their impending demands regarding unemployment. The response of Health Minister Jenab Taj Mohi-u-din however, was poor that dashed the hopes of unemployed graduate dental surgeons .He depicted ‘ cold attitude and nonseriousness’ about addressing the grievances of dental surgeons. When asked to frame proper policy to employ dental surgeons in places where there is need he gave a cold response that govt. is outgoing.
On the other hand , Hon’ble Chief Minister Jenab Omar Abdullah, has taken a good initiative by asking the youth to come forward through media like facebook, twitter,e-mail etc. to exchange their opinion.
He has even replied to several emails. His reply to one of the emails- “This is a serious matter-Thanks for bringing the matter infront of me. I will definitely work on it and soon you will get good news”
Dental surgeons association JK threatens if the govt. doesnot frame any recruitment policy at the earliest –they will have no other option than to hold demonstrations and peaceful protests on roads along with their family members.
DSA-JK also has planned to hold mass awareness among the youth about govt’s attitude so that they do not get lured at the time of elections.
