Aam Admi Party(AAP) gearing up for debut in the Lok Sabha polls, on Thursday took out a ‘Jadhu Yatra’ in Udhampur city.
A handful of AAP activists took to the streets of Udhampur city and raised anti-government, anti-corruption slogans.
The activists began their march from Bhagat Singh park, popularly known as Dabbad Park and marched through Gol Market, Mukherjee Bazar, Sailan Tallab, Chabutra Bazar and then concluded at Indira Chowk.
“If this is a Jhadu Yatra, why are they flagging Jhadu(broom) in air?” locals were seen asking each other, who are fed up of corruption and seeing garbage littering all around the city.

Feeling disappointment as not many turned up for the rally, the AAP activists were pleading locals to join them and be a part of the ‘initiative’.
“If Lalu will organise a rally in Udhampur, even he will get better support here. And these AAP wallahs are not able to get a support of even 20 locals. You cant run Udhampur and India from facebook, better know the ground realities first, ” a local leader mocked.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Aam Aadmi Party kicked off its “Jhadu Chalao Yatra” across 24 states on Saturday. The week-long yatra will be organised at over 2,500 places in 332 parliamentary constituencies across the states.
