62% Government buildings,37% Private buildings vacated by Army/Para Military forces

Indian army and paramilitary forces have vacated 62 per cent government buildings and 37 per cent private buildings in Jammu and Kashmir in the recent years.

According to official sources, a total number of 766 Government buildings were under the occupation of Paramilitary forces/Army out of which 480 buildings stand vacated,while 206 Government buildings under the occupation of Paramilitary forces and 80 buildings under the occupation of Army.

Similarly out of 2445 private buildings  under the occupation of Paramilitary forces/Army 919 buildings stand vacated.
According to official sources  a total number of 1040 private buildings are under the occupation of Paramilitary forces and  486 buildings are under the occupation of Army.
Official sources said as situation is gradually improving in the state and the security forces have managed to eliminate large number of top commanders efforts are afoot to vacate the remaining buildings as soon as possible.
The construction of alternate accommodation for the security forces is in progress in full swing, official sources added.
